1 Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the RetainIt mobile application available on Google Play and related services (the "Service"). RetainIt is operated by GargCraft Labs and is a free, AI-powered current affairs preparation app built for competitive exam aspirants preparing for UPSC, Banking, SSC and other exams.

By downloading or using RetainIt, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the application.

2 Description of Service

RetainIt is a free AI-powered educational tool for competitive exam preparation. The Service provides:

• AI Summaries: Current affairs from top newspapers distilled into exam-focused summaries.
• Smart Flashcards: Auto-generated flashcards with spaced repetition for long-term retention.
• Quizzes: Practice quizzes derived from current affairs to test your understanding.
• Personalised Learning: Adaptive recommendations based on your study patterns and performance.

The Service includes public leaderboards that display your name, profile picture, total XP, and streak data to other users. By using the Service, you consent to this information being publicly visible.

We may send you push notifications for streak reminders, new content alerts, and service announcements via Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can disable notifications at any time through the app settings or your device's notification settings.

The Service is provided "as is" and we may modify or discontinue features at any time.

3 User Accounts

You may need to create an account via Google OAuth to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Each person may maintain only one account.

4 Content & Intellectual Property

AI-generated summaries, flashcards and quizzes are for educational use only. Original articles remain the property of their publishers. The RetainIt app, its code, design and branding are our intellectual property.

Any notes, annotations or collections you create remain yours. By storing content on RetainIt, you grant us a licence to host and display it for providing the Service. We may use anonymised, aggregated usage data to improve our products.

5 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scrapers or automated tools to extract content
• Share your account credentials or allow shared access
• Commercially redistribute any content from the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive our source code
• Engage in abusive, harmful or unlawful behaviour
• Attempt to bypass security measures or usage limits

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

6 Limitation of Liability

RetainIt is a study aid, not a replacement for your own preparation. We do not guarantee success in any exam. While we work hard to keep content accurate, AI-generated content may have errors, so always cross-check important information with official sources.

To the extent allowed by law, RetainIt is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from your use of the Service.

7 Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or abusive behaviour. You may request account deletion at any time by submitting a request through our account deletion form. Upon deletion, your personal data is either permanently removed or anonymised as described in our Privacy Policy.

8 General

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes fall under the jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi, India. We may update these Terms at any time. If you keep using the app after changes, that means you accept the updated Terms.
